By making a reservation or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking. Main & Salt reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the website or property constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
All reservations are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from our booking system. A valid credit or debit card is required to hold all reservations. Rates are quoted in US dollars and are subject to applicable taxes and fees, which will be clearly disclosed before you complete your booking in accordance with the FTC Junk Fees Rule and California SB 478.
We understand that plans change. Our standard cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellations must be made through your original booking channel (website, phone, or email). Cancellation confirmation numbers should be retained for your records.
If you do not arrive on your scheduled check-in date and have not cancelled your reservation, you will be charged the full amount of the first night’s stay. The remainder of the reservation may be cancelled at the property’s discretion without refund.
All advertised rates include mandatory fees as required by the FTC’s Rule on Unfair or Deceptive Fees (effective May 12, 2025) and California Senate Bill 478. Applicable state and local taxes (including San Luis Obispo County Transient Occupancy Tax) are excluded from the displayed rate and will be shown before payment is required. Optional services such as early check-in, late check-out, and premium room upgrades may carry additional charges, which will always be disclosed before acceptance.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment is processed securely through our booking engine provider (Mews). Main & Salt does not store payment card details on our servers. Charges are processed in US dollars. Any applicable foreign transaction fees are the responsibility of the cardholder.
Main & Salt is committed to providing accessible accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), California Disabled Persons Act (DPA), and Title 24 of the California Building Code. Guests requiring accessible rooms or specific accommodations are encouraged to contact us directly when booking to ensure appropriate arrangements can be confirmed. Accessible rooms will be held until all other rooms of the same type are booked. Specific accessible features (doorway widths, bathroom configurations, visual alarms, etc.) will be described in detail on our rooms page prior to opening.
Main & Salt shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property of guests, except where caused by the gross negligence of the property. Liability for lost or damaged property is limited in accordance with California Civil Code §§1859–1867. Guests are encouraged to use in-room safes or secure storage for valuables.
Guest data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Guests have the right to access, correct, and delete their personal data. See our for full details.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law. Any disputes arising from a reservation or stay at Main & Salt shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of San Luis Obispo County, California.
